FAQ

What is the success rate of your gymnasium preparation programme?

This is one of the questions we are asked most frequently. However, we deliberately choose not to publish a general success rate. In our view, such figures are often misleading and, ultimately, not a professional way to assess a student’s chances of success.

Success in the Gymnasium entrance examination depends on many factors that go far beyond the quality of the preparation itself. These include a student’s prior knowledge, their current academic standing at school, report card grades, motivation, active participation during lessons, consistency in completing homework, willingness to ask questions and make use of additional learning opportunities, personal attitude towards attending Gymnasium, and their ability to cope with pressure and nerves on the day of the examination.

Our many years of experience have shown that students who engage actively, practise regularly, and make full use of the support available to them significantly improve their chances of success.

What we can always guarantee is an open, honest, and transparent assessment of your child’s current academic level. Through our diagnostic assessment and mock examination, we clearly identify your child’s strengths and highlight the areas where further development and improvement are needed.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

Over the past five years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting numerous satisfied families in Zurich and Winterthur. We are proud of this achievement and confident in the high quality standards of our work.

Gymnasium Preparation Course: If you or your child feel within the first two course days that the course isn’t the right fit, you can withdraw without any hassle.

Tutoring: If you or your child are not satisfied with the assigned tutor, we will not charge you for the lesson and will do our best to find a more suitable tutor. If a new learning relationship is established, lessons with the new tutor will be billed as usual.

What is the benefit of teaching at home?

Your child learns at home in a familiar environment. This allows them to focus more quickly on achieving their individual learning goals. It also saves the child the time and expense of traveling there and back.

Will my child always be taught by the same teacher?

Yes, we are convinced that a good and constant learning relationship contributes significantly to learning progress. If your child does not feel comfortable with the choice, we will find a new solution together.

Will my child be given homework?

Tutoring: Regular practice is also part of learning success. If you agree, our teachers will give you an appropriate amount of homework until the next deadline.

Gymi-Course: Our students receive approximately one hour of homework per subject each week.

What teaching times are available?

Tutoring: You tell us the days and times you would like your lessons to take place. Lessons can also take place at weekends or off-peak times. As soon as we have found the right teacher for your child, we will let you know the possible dates.

Gymi-Course: The courses take place on Wednesday afternoon from 1.30 to 5pm and Saturday morning from 8.30 am to 12 pm.

How are the lesson minutes delivered?

Within 24 hours of the tutoring session you will receive a short report by e-mail on your child’s current learning status and learning behavior.
